Moving deeper inland from the Pacific coast of the Olympic peninsula, one enters the vast area of absolutely wild rain forest. There are only a couple of valleys there, which are accessible by car, and the only way to move around is to stay on the trail.

Hoh valley, Olympic National Park, Washingon.
