Artist's Comments

The first mormon settlers, who reached this place, were so awestruck with beauty and majestic greatness of the scenery, that they called it "New Zion", the place where the God lives.
Taken in Zion National Park, Utah.

As my first comment on this site, I must say: excellent contrast and mix of values (among other things)! Not only a gorgeous landscape, but very well captured!
Thank you, Erik! And welcome to the club! I hope you'll like this place :highfive:
Ух!Красиво как!Отличная робота!
Спасибо на добром слове! :highfive:
this exposure is amazing! on an aside: i've been all over the west and i love it; everything is amazing, especially throughout the 150-or-so miles of freeway near zion np, moab, arches, grand staircase, canyonlands, et al. anyway, i think you should consider cropping more of the sky to bring the mountains up to the top 2/3--it'll draw more attention to the finer rock features as well as the plants down near the bottom. as-is it tends to pull my eyes up to the open space in the sky. cheers.

Thank you for your substantive comment, Marc! I appreciate it
or maybe (if you're trying to preserve the 1:1 and assuming you have more stuff below the bottom of this framing in the original exposure) you could just move the frame down on the land... /m

Vertical wise that's all what I have, I cropped it to be square. I've got some other shots from Zion, I hope I'll find time to post them here. :thanks:
This is really a fantastic image!

BTW, if you press on the "link" from the mountain-lovers display of this picture it "links" you to another image, so I had to look thoroughly for your picture in order to :+fav: it :D
