Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving day here, in the US. As a newcomer, I never quite understood the essence of this holiday. But as years come by, I more and more adapt to the new culture of my new home country. My sons came home today for the rest of the week, I'm so happy to see them around. Tomorrow we'll grill a turkey and have a huge feast (got some really good Ukrainian vodka) .

Using this chance I'd like to thank all of you, who stop by and browse my gallery, thank you all for your comments and faves. Usually I try to thank each of you individually, but recently there were so many faves, that I just cannot keep up, and sometimes I feel like I am coming close to spamming my most avid watchers. I wish all of you very happy holidays and the best of luck!

Hi everyone!

I'm back from a week-long trip, cruising the Appalachia mountains from Seneca Rocks, WV, down to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and coming back home via Outer Banks, NC. It was a fantastic journey, but the weather was not so comfortable, to say the least. It was raining 80% of the time, cloudy and overcast 90% of the time, and I was caught in the fog so thick in the Smokies, that I felt like a character from the iconic Russian cartoon "Hedgehog in the Fog". I was trying to take some pictures anyway, and will be sharing with you shortly. I still have three rolls of slides to develop, stay tuned!

Thank you all who visited my gallery while I was away, commented and faved my works, I'll try my best to catch up as soon as I can.

Tomorrow I'm taking off for a week's trip to Appalachia. To West Virginia first, and then down to the Smokies. I hope to find peak fall colors somewhere along the way, praying for good weather . Will be unavailable, without internet access. Happy Halloween everybody, and thanks for stopping by!
