Recently I have have upgraded my cameras, got two cameras at once, the Nikon D300s and Mamyia 645 AFD, I used them in my recent trip to Lake Tahoe and Death Valley. Bye-bye my old friend D40. Now I'll start printing really big. My printer (Epson R2880) allows me to print up to 13x19 inch (33x48 sm), so if anyone is interested in buying high quality prints made on fine art paper, just drop me a note or email.

I'm amazed. I was using the Matte Black ink so far with Epson and Hahnemuhle papers, and I am very happy with the results.

A Mamiya 645 AFD? Damn, that's a nice piece of hardware. What'd that set you back? What lenses do you have with it? I've been thinking about a medium format setup lately, as well. The Mamiya 28mm lens is probably what I'd start with. Never mind the fact that the lens alone is $5,000. . .

I always wanted a medium format film camera. Recent digital revolution made them much more affordable, making my old dream possible. I was considering different options, from Bronica to Hasselblad, but in the end decided on this camera. I got it on ebay with the normal 80mm lens, and bought additionally a 45mm manual focus lens on keh. It is optically very good, and for landscapes manual focus is not a problem. It is actually very handy to have hyperfocus marks on the lens, and stop-down metering worked like a charm. This camera also offers me a possibility to upgrade to a digital back in the future, so overall I'm very happy with my new toy.
